Our team of 24,000 people are full hearted, open minded and all in. Together, we provide more than 250 integrated services for every stage of life at over 50 locations and in the community across south-east Melbourne, Victoria, serving 1.2 million residents in the South Metro Local Health Service Network.
To see first-hand what our colleagues think about working here, take a look at the following short videos monashhealth.org/careers.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior clinician to step into the Team Manager role within the CASEA program, part of Monash Health’s Infant, Child and Youth Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service.
Based at the Atherton Hub in Oakleigh, this is a permanent part-time position (0.8 EFT) where you’ll have the opportunity to lead a skilled multidisciplinary team and help shape a service that supports children, families and the communities around them. As Team Manager, you’ll provide both clinical and operational leadership, creating an environment where clinicians feel supported to do their best work. You’ll provide supervision, mentoring and clinical guidance, foster a collaborative and cohesive team culture, and support the continued development and delivery of evidence-based care.
A key part of this role is building strong partnerships across three different service systems – Monash Health’s Infant, Child and Youth Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service, the Department of Education and Catholic education. You’ll help bring these systems together around a shared purpose: supporting children earlier and strengthening the people and environments around them.
Your role will include:
- leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team of experienced mental health clinicians
- providing clinical leadership, supervision, mentoring and opportunities for professional growth
- fostering a positive, collaborative and connected team culture
- working in partnership with education services to support children, parents and school communities
- overseeing assessment, group interventions and therapeutic support for children and families
- strengthening relationships between mental health, education and community services
- supporting consultation, education and training for education staff
- contributing to evidence-based practice, service development, research and evaluation
- ensuring high-quality service delivery and achievement of clinical and operational outcomes.
This is an opportunity to combine your clinical expertise, leadership and passion for early intervention in a role where your impact extends beyond an individual child or family – to the clinicians you lead, the schools you partner with and the broader systems supporting children’s mental health.
This opportunity is open to suitably qualified clinicians from the following disciplines:
- Psychologist Grade 4
- Occupational Therapist Grade 5
- Social Worker Grade 5
- Speech Pathologist Grade 5
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 5.
About the Department/Program
The Monash Health CAMHS and Schools Early Action (CASEA) Program is a joint initiative of Infant, CHild and Youth Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS), the Department of Health, Department of Early Education and Childhood Development (DEECD) and Catholic Education Office of Melbourne (CEOM). Designed as an early intervention program, the CASEA program is conducted in school settings with children identified as being at risk of developing serious behaviour problems including Conduct Disorder. The focus of the program is to up skill teachers in child and parenting group programs that they will deliver in partnership with CASEA staff.
About You
You’re an experienced mental health clinician and leader who is passionate about creating the conditions for children, families and clinicians to thrive.
You bring strong clinical expertise in infant, child and youth mental health, alongside the confidence to lead, support and develop a multidisciplinary team. You understand that great leadership is not just about overseeing service delivery – it’s about building a positive team culture, supporting clinicians through complexity and creating an environment where people feel valued, connected and confident in the work they do.
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience within mental health or a related clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of infant, child and youth mental health, including assessment, risk and evidence-based practice
- The ability to mentor, supervise and support clinicians to grow their capability and confidence
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to bring people together around shared goals
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across health, education and community services
- Confidence navigating complex clinical, operational and stakeholder matters
- A commitment to continuous improvement, reflective practice and high-quality care.
You’ll be someone who values early intervention and working beyond traditional service boundaries, recognising the important role families, schools and communities play in supporting a child’s mental health and wellbeing. Most importantly, you’ll be a leader who wants to make a difference – for the children and families CASEA supports, and for the clinicians you lead.

10-20k Incentives Offered
Molong Multi-Purpose Service
About the role
Our single goal is providing a service that builds 'healthier rural people and thriving communities', and in this role, you’ll grow long-term relationships with patients, simplifying referral pathways and access to care to help them manage their health within their own communities.
This is a rewarding role where you can be involved in people’s lives, not just their illnesses.
As an important part of the multidisciplinary care team, you’ll deliver nursing care through a flexible service delivery model, both in community and ambulatory settings and will lead, direct, and supervise other care roles in the team, including nurses, students, and Aboriginal Health Workers (AHW) to support the delivery of quality care.

A typical day involves providing holistic based care and assessment for patients in the community. For our nursing staff this typically involves the provision of holistic assessment, wound management, IV antibiotics, catheter care, central venous access care and working within and referring to a multidisciplinary team.
Previous experience working in the Community Health setting and skills in advanced physical assessment, cannulation and wound care would be advantageous.
You will join a small, close-knit team of nursing and Allied Health staff covering Molong, Yeoval, Cudal, Cumnock and Manildra communities. Nursing staff also work in the Ambulatory Care unit at the Molong MPS. You will be well supported, and your dedication will be seen and appreciated. You will be an integral member of the community and you’ll see not only the results of your care, but the appreciation of the community of the role you play in their health. What’s more, you’ll have the excellent career opportunities only a large organisation such as Western NSW Local Health District - servicing approximately 276 000 people with over 7500 staff, can provide.
