Clinical Nurse Educator – Coronary Care & Stroke Unit
Orange Health Service

About the role
If you're passionate about developing others and want to make a lasting impact on patient care, this is your opportunity to shape and strengthen the nursing workforce within Coronary Care and Stroke Services at Orange Health Service.

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will lead the delivery of high-quality clinical education, training and competency assessment programs that support safe, evidence-based nursing care. Working closely with nursing staff and managers, you'll identify learning needs, develop targeted education strategies and help build confidence and capability across the team.

Drawing on your advanced clinical expertise and strong understanding of adult learning principles, you will provide bedside teaching, one-on-one support, in-services and structured education programs, with a particular focus on supporting new and developing staff. Using a range of learning approaches, you'll engage staff across multiple shifts and foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth and clinical excellence.

You'll provide clinical leadership through mentorship, preceptorship and role modelling while evaluating educational outcomes, assessing competencies and identifying opportunities to address learning gaps. The role also contributes to the development and review of clinical procedures and guidelines, ensuring staff have access to current education, advice and support.

As an integral member of the local healthcare community, you'll see the direct impact of your work not only on staff development, but also on patient outcomes and experiences. Backed by the opportunities available through Western NSW Local Health District, you'll enjoy access to extensive professional development and career pathways within one of regional Australia's largest healthcare organisations.

Challenge yourself. Make an impact. Shape the future. Join us at Western NSW Local Health District.
