About the service

Join a growing dialysis service and help shape the future of renal care.

The Cranbourne Community Hospital Dialysis Unit is a modern 9-chair satellite haemodialysis service providing specialist renal care to the local community. With a further six dialysis chairs being added as part of our expansion, we are seeking passionate, motivated, and skilled nurses to join our growing team.

With multiple EFT positions available, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of a modern, community-based dialysis service committed to delivering exceptional patient-centred care. We are looking for nurses who bring recent clinical experience, embrace challenges, and are eager to contribute to service development, innovation, and continuous improvement within a growing unit.

We welcome applications from experienced senior dialysis nurses, as well as nurses from other specialty areas who have previous renal experience and are looking to further develop their skills within a contemporary haemodialysis service.

About the Role

As a member of our dialysis team, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centred haemodialysis care.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service development.
  • Embrace opportunities to innovate and support positive change within a growing unit.

This role requires the ability to work a rotating roster across morning and afternoon shifts.

For experienced dialysis nurses, there will be opportunities to provide clinical leadership, support staff development, coordinate clinical activities, and act in senior roles as required.

You have been developing your clinical skills as a Registered Nurse and growing your career, showing your commitment and passion for Patient centred care.

You will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Have recent acute clinical nursing experience, preferably in haemodialysis or renal nursing.
  • Flexibility and commitment to the operational needs of the program
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
  • Are adaptable, resilient, and enthusiastic about working in a growing and evolving service.
  • Have a commitment to continuous learning and delivering excellence in patient care.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Postgraduate qualification in Renal Nursing or willingness to undertake further study.
  • Experience in dialysis, nephrology, critical care, medical or other high-acuity clinical settings.
  • Participation in quality improvement, research, education or leadership initiatives.

What We Offer

  • Multiple EFT opportunities (part-time ongoing) to suit service needs.
  • A supportive and collaborative team culture.
  • Comprehensive orientation and ongoing professional development.
  • Opportunities to expand your renal nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Career progression pathways, including opportunities to act in senior roles and support the development of the unit.
  • The chance to be part of an innovative and expanding service that is making a difference in the local community.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a nursing role. It is an opportunity to help build and shape a growing dialysis service within Cranbourne Community Hospital. We are looking for nurses who bring energy, experience, fresh ideas, and a passion for improving patient outcomes.

If you are an experienced acute care nurse with a passion for high-quality patient care and an interest in renal nursing, we encourage you to apply and become part of Monash Health's leading renal service.
