Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.

Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

Are you a compassionate, motivated and organised Enrolled Nurse looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a fast-paced hospital environment? Join the team at the Transit Lounge at Nepean Hospital, where you will play an important role in supporting safe, efficient and patient-centred care during the transition from hospital to home or another care setting.

As an Enrolled Nurse in the Transit Lounge, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality Nursing care for patients who are clinically ready for discharge but may be awaiting transport, medications, discharge documentation or other arrangements. Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Medical staff, Allied Health professionals and other members of the multidisciplinary team, you will help facilitate a smooth and positive discharge experience while maintaining patient safety, dignity and comfort. This role is ideal for an Enrolled Nurse who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, can prioritise competing demands and is passionate about improving patient flow and the overall patient experience.

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to provide safe and effective Nursing care within your scope of practice, well-developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy clinical environment.
At Nepean Hospital, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a service that supports timely patient discharges, improves access to hospital beds and helps patients transition safely to their next stage of care. You will be part of a collaborative team where your contribution matters, your clinical skills are valued and your work helps improve the experience of patients and their families.

Apply now and join us at Nepean Hospital and make every patient's transition from hospital care as safe, smooth and positive as possible.
